It may be Jesse Owens. Born the son of a sharecropper and grandson of a slave, Jesse Owens, using his God-given athletic ability, went on to compete in the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany.  In attendance was Adolph Hitler.  Hitler touted his so-called belief that the Aryan people were the superior race.
